Socio-pedagogical foundations of using the principle of cross-culturalness in the process of teaching a foreign language

Abstract
In the system of modern language education in the XXI century, in the process of
teaching a foreign language, one of the most important tasks is not only the formation of
communicative language competence, but also the formation of cross-cultural literacy of
students. Understanding cultural diversity is the key to effective intercultural literacy. The
article examines new directions of intercultural harmony and communication in the
upbringing of the younger generation.
