Abstract

In this article, a swirling jet is studied on the basis of a two-fluid turbulence model. This task, despite its simplicity, is quite a difficult problem for many turbulence models. This model is derived based on the dynamics of two-liquids. These papers also show that the developed two-fluid model is able to adequately describe complex anisotropic turbulence. The numerical results obtained are compared with experimental data from the ERCOFTAC database. It is shown that the results of the two-fluid model, despite the use of a rather coarse computational grid, are in satisfactory.
