Abstract

This article analyzes in detail the toponymy of the turkmen-populated areas
of the Bukhara region, in particular, the turkmen villages as "Yangi тurmush"
and "Sorg'un, Parakhti, Surkhiyan, Navruz, Akchamamat, Urmanzor, Kazakhavul"
It also describes detailed information about the number, lifestile, economic activity,
family ties of turkmens living in these areas. Data on the studied territories are
given on the basis of scientific literatures and field ethnographic researches
